Cross-Country Trail Information
Background:
Birch Ski Area is located approximately 35 km south-west of Carman
Manitoba (click here for directions). The area is situated at the foot
of the Herman beaches situated along the Darlingford Moraine which
offers a wide range of gully and valley terrain that provide
exceptional outdoor scenery.
Ski Trails:
Birch Ski Area has over 25 km of ski trails for expert and novice ski
enthusiasts. The trails journey through beautiful gullies and valleys
that provide exceptional outdoor scenery. All trails allow for skate
and classic skiing.The ski trails are on average between 3 to 5 meters
wide and allow for skating and classic skiing. For a map of the ski

Difficulty:
Easy to Difficult - Birch Ski Area has short to long uphill and
downhill segments that stretch along the ski trails. Anyone new to
skiing is encouraged to take ski lessons, offered every Saturday or by
appointment, in order to develop skiing skills and gain confidence.
Trail Grooming:
Ski trails are groomed on a weekly basis. The day of week on which the
